"I was referred for physical therapy for pain in my right shoulder by my primary care physician.

I live in Brockport and went to the Brockport Agapé. The gals at the desk were always cheeerful when I arrived for my 10 sessions.

My 10:00 appointments were scheduled between two therapists, Alan (AJ) Hanaburgh and Ben Rich. At my first meeting I was evaluated for tendonitus and given exercises to work on at home. In remaining sessions they answered all of my questions, and professionally supervised my exercises for accuracy. They encouraged my progress.

The atmosphere there was warm and as new "patients" arrived they were treated in the same courteous manner. Agapé Brockport offers a cordial and professional setting for people coming to get better."

"I was treated at the Chili Ave branch. The professional staff you have there are great. They made my visits fun. They gave me great therapy for my shoulder. Thank you to the whole staff. You guys really made it fun to come there every week. I would recommend the Chili branch to anyone. Again, thank you."

--Dick Shamp

"I have had the pleasure of the Chili Staff working with me in addressing an upper and lower back injury resulting from a fall at work. To make matters worse, an existing hand injury was exacerbated from the fall, and it made PT on my core more difficult as my use of that hand was rather limited. Rob Kleinberg, Emily Strong, and Sean Kelley developed ingenious methods of working around my hand injury, enabling me to still gain maximum benefit from my PT sessions.

The Administrative Staff, Shannon and Christina, have been extremely helpful; going above and beyond other typical medical office experiences - especially since my coverage is through the seemingly always confusing Workmen's Compensation System. They've made prescription renewals for additional PT sessions practically seemless for me, despite paperwork from my Workmen's Compensation provider falling through the cracks.

Agapé Physical Therapy is a top-notch experience, and I will wholeheartedly recommend them!"

--Linda Hainz

"Since January 2010, I have had a particularly troublesome knee replacement, an 'easy' hip replacement and issues with back spasms. I have worked with Kelli through each of my PT sessions to address these issues and have always found her positive, thorough, knowledgeable and precise. She's a master multi-tasker and a delightfully personable professional. Her experience and expertise are amazing and her work to carry out 'homework' for her patients is very helpful in guaranteeing a full recovery WITH patient participation in their own healing. I have always requested Kelli when prescribed PT by my orthopaedist and have recommended her to others."

"First of all, let me say that I'm just here for the t-shirt. They look sharp and I hear they're pretty comfortable... :)

In all seriousness, I'm here to sing the praises of Agapé Physical Therapy of Webster and especially their therapists, Carrie and Sabrina. First of all, let me give you some background...

Super Bowl Sunday 2012 was not so super for me as I fell off my roof onto my driveway...backwards (The Russian judge gave me a 10 for style.). In spite of my best efforts, I did not die that day as my strong right arm broke most of the fall, and paid a steep price in the process. I was rushed to RGH with a subdermal hematoma in the right temporal lobe, a sprained ankle, a broken bone in the right temple region and last but not least, a nasty distal fracture of my right radius and ulna. 10 days after the fall I underwent 3 and 1/2 hours of surgery and had my crushed ulna rebuilt and three plates and 10 screws installed to hold together my splintered radius. The doctor told me it would probably be August before I realized maybe 60% of my normal range of motion. Well, it's been four weeks since I had my last cast removed and started PT with Sabrina and Carrie and my doctor was AMAZED with my progress. I'm already close to 50% usage and my strength is slowly coming back. That said, it isn't easy, this PT process. Carrie and Sabrina may look like nice, sweet, petite young ladies...but when they get a hold of one of your limbs, you'll find that the word 'uncle' that you used when you're brother used to twist your arm as a kid, will be replaced with either 'Carrie!' or 'Sabrina!' Sometimes you might even shout out 'Kelly Clarkson!' :) In all seriousness, rehab truly takes hard work and discipline and the willingness to let these wonderful therapists push you to the brink. They have to. And you want them to. But best of all, they do it all with such joy and good humor that it makes coming to therapy tolerable and even something you look forward to (though the joy part puzzles me, especially when they make me scream!). You know that because of them, you will get better and you will be your old self once again. I am tremendously grateful to them for getting me back on the road to recov ery and I want to thank the folks at Agapé for hiring these incredibly knowledgeable and talented therapists. They are not only great at what they do, but great people, too. I might add that you also have the nicest people working in the office at Agapé PT/Webster. Jessica and Sarah have been wonderful to me as I continually call for appointment reminders because I keep misplacing my appointment sheet.

Thanks again to everyone at Agapé PT/Webster. I still have a ways to go but am confident that with your help and expertise, I will recover completely."

--Michael Cunningham

"I recently finish therapy for a shoulder injury at the Gates facility. I want to express my thanks to my primary therapist Gwen, secondary therapist, Justin (an intern), Kelli, and Alicia who also helped in the therapy. They were all kind, considerate, caring, attentive, and professional in their duties. They made me feel like family in all that they did. Thank you again.

My reason to choose Agapé was from back therapy that I received two years ago at the Chili facility. My therapy then was directed by Carrie Scharett. I believe that I would still have back problems and pain if not for her persistence in finding a treatment that would work, thank you.

In closing, I will recommend Agap´ to anyone that asks if I have ever had physical therapy, and by whom. Both times of my therapy have been gratifying and positive.

Good Job."

--John Jenkins

"In 16 visits at the Brockport office I am nearly 100%. I had knee replacement. The first couple of visits were very rough and did not look good. But, with the help and encouragement from AJ and Ben I leave there today with 100% range of motion back and nearly all my strength back. I have had physical therapy at other places locally but none can compare to Agapé. The equipment is unmatched at any other place. It is extremely clean and inviting. They are not only therapists but they are cheerleaders and really keep you motivated. I also came here last year after my rotator cuff repair with the same results!! Thank you, team! You amazed me again!"

--Sandy Amedick

"I would like to thank Gwen, Kelli, and Alicia of the Gates clinic for the outstanding treatment I have received for a wide variety of issues. They were caring, professional, encouraging, and wonderful. I am convinced that physical therapists are the Healers!"

--Pat Wheelhouse

"I went to Agapé Physical Therapy for nearly a year for feet issues and they had me feeling amazing! Carrie was awesome! I will be coming back soon! Thank you guys for everything!"

--Seth Graham

"Several months after getting a hip replacement, I fell dislocating my new hip and breaking my wrist. Kelly evaluated me and set up a schedule. It became my second home as I had physical therapy 4 days a week - two for the wrist and two for the hip. As anyone knows who has dislocated a hip, getting your confidence back as to what movements are safe is the hardest thing. Kelly and Gwen helped me through that, along with getting my strength back. They were always upbeat and encouraging and fun to talk with. Although, I was very glad to 'graduate' after many weeks, I was also a little sad to say good-bye to two great gals who helped me so much. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gates Agapé."

--Dorothy Evans

"In a world where people so often take time to complain, I wanted to take a moment to recognize some superior service and great results. I am an athletic 51 year old who set the bar very high for my recovery expectations. I would honestly say my expectations were surpassed by the staff of the Gates Agapé physical therapy staff. I have been there 2 different times over the years, once for tendonitis in my elbows and once for a torn tendon in my foot. Upon my completion, I was working out as hard as I was before I needed therapy and I was also doing it smarter and more well rounded. All members were attentive and pleasant, and most importantly - knowledgable. I would highly recommend the group, especially Kelli Hursh who was there for both my issues. Gwen Wong was also excellent who I met with in most recent sessions."

--Donald Spany

"I spent four weeks at the Webster site for neck therapy. Although Carrie did my initial evaluation, Sabrina handled my next nine treatments. Sabrina was thorough and knowledgeable in assigning me the exercises I did at home between appointments. While at the clinic I felt the services provided by Sabrina showed improvements in my necks range of motion and pain reduction. I was thoroughly satisfied with my results. Although I picked your service out of the phone book due to your location, I will not hesitate to recommend your facility. Many thanks to your Webster Agapé team."

--Ed Evarts

"I spent several months in rehabilitation at the Webster Clinic prior to surgery and post-surgery. Carrie and Sabrina were my therapists and Jessica managed the office and schedule. There was constant activity involving many patients. They managed to impeccably transition from one patient's needs to another and never left a patient wondering what he or she needed to do next. I saw compassion, dedication and focus.

When 'graduation' came, I left with fond memories. Jessica makes you laugh and laughter IS the best medicine. Carrie and Sabrina's expertise gives you the tools and encouragement to work harder through rehabilitation. Their positive 'you can do it' attitude and magnetic personalities contributed to a highly positive and rewarding experience. I will both professionally and personally miss them. Through them, Agapé Physical Therapy proved itself not only a place for physical healing but overall wellness. Thank you, Carrie, Sabrina, and Jessica!"

--Patricia Cheffins

"I started physical therapy at Agapé around November for knee problems and I am very thankful to Rob, Sean, and Emily who made my recovery much more fun and enjoyable. Their knowledge helped me get my pain under control and they taught me how to manage it on my own. I am a lot stronger than I ever was before I began therapy with them. Thanks again Agapé team!"

--Kayla Lilly

"I would like to thank Agapé Physical Therapy and especially staff member, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Kelli Hurst for the excellent treatment I received at the Elmgrove Road facility. Kelli evaluated my condition and listened to my concerns regarding type, area and degree of pain. She suggested several exercises and made sure I was correctly performing each exercise before I left a session.

I would recommend Agapé Physical Therapy to anyone needing physical therapy and its location is very convenient. Agapé means "Love" in Greek and the staff through hands on gentleness, support, firmness and kindness all displayed love to their clients. Thank you for making an unwanted experience a rewarding one!!"

--Elaine Tette

"I would like to express my gratitude to the staff at the Webster location. They helped to heal my body with their professionalism, knowledge and humor. I have had to visit the clinic quite often over the past few years and have gotten to feel like they are family. Carrie and Sabrina are excellent at providing the information and tools to keep my therapy on track to a speedy recovery. The front desk managed by Jessica, combined with Carrie and Sabrina have a chemistry that creates a therapeutic experience for mind and body. Thank you for your warm smiles and healing hands."

--Gary Lindenmoyer

"I have been treated at Agapé Therapy, located in Chili, NY (Rochester Fitness Center) by Kelly, Emily and Rob. I commend them for their promptness, great listening skills, accommodating my other physical issues while treating me for knee surgery. I am very pleased and look forward to going there. The receptionists have always been friendly and professional."

--Kathy Bolam

"The Gates location on Elmgrove Rd is where I have received treatment. Kelli Hursh was my first contact with Agapé. She was wonderful in treating my problems with my legs. She did all sorts of measurements and suggested what I should be doing for my treatments. I was then given to Gwen-Yee Wong and Alicia Blake for follow up. I should tell you that these girls are an asset to your organization. They have both worked with me and the keep pushing me to my limits. I feel that I have improved greatly and that I have more to accomplish that will happen with time. They are both always pleasant and have a very upbeat attitude and it makes all of there clients feel very comfortable. They are wonderful employees and should be rewarded for there hard work. Thank You for letting me to respond to your company."

--David Phelps

"This past October I sprained my ankle at work. I was treated at the Brockport facility by Sean Kelly. I found him to be encouraging, thorough in his explanations, and challenging to me in my progress. Whenever our family has had PT needs our first choice is Agapé Physical Therapy. Thank you Sean. Thank you Agapé."

--Sheila Galdieri

"The Webster Agapé did a fantastic job while I was PT-ing. The professionalism of Carrie and Sabrina is second to none. During the time I was working with them they always made me feel welcomed and ready to help get my shoulder to some form of normalcy."

They explained all of the exercises in a simple manor and why it would help. When making or a need to cancel an appointment it was never a problem; they always working with me.

Lastly, I would recommend Webster Agapé to family and friends. If I need PT in the future I would return without hesitation."

--John

"July 21st 2011, I fractured my tibia. In late August, I was at a local running race cheering my wife on, and at the awards ceremony I overheard that one of the top runners was a Physical Therapist at Agapé in Brockport. I went out of my way to meet this person as I am an avid runner, I was so glad that I did, the day the cast came off on the 13th of September I started physical therapy with Kayleigh Plumeau, the Brockport Clinic Director and Physical Therapist, It was important for me to have Kayleigh as a therapist as she also is a runner, so I knew that she understood where I was coming from (mentally) and what type of program that I would need to get me back on my feet as quick as I should.

From the time I stepped foot in the door to the last appointment I felt like I had chosen the correct facility, their hours accommodated my busy schedule, they challenged me from one session to the next to help me improve my range of motion, strength and confidence. The equipment at the Brockport location is top notch, and all of the staff was knowledgeable and helpful, I would recommend Agapé to anyone who needed any type of Physical Therapy."

--Mike Rockow

"What an experience at the Webster facility! You almost hate to hear that you have been discharged. The staff has a keen grasp of their profession and will work with you and be willing and able to adjust your therapy as you proceed. I had an Achille's tendon issue, complicated by a knee in need of replacement, which proved to be a challenge, and Sabrina Stankovski along with Carrie Scharett worked with me to get a PT program that actually helped reduce the calcification of the tendon without invasive surgery. Also, it was never a "chore" for me to go for my therapy, knowing the caring and compassion every member of the staff, from Jessica in the reception area, to the actual therapists, would have for me.

I will be getting knee replacement in the summer...Agapé, I will you see then!

Thank You!"

--Elaine Nespeca

"After my right shoulder reconstruction I started Physical Therapy at the Gates Clinic. The Clinic worked me through a tailored program containing numerous exercises that constantly increased my strength and movement. During the Therapy I was given professional instructions both verbal and written, (for a home maintenance program). There was testing at various times throughout the sessions that always showed continued improvement. I really believe if it were not for the Gates Clinic and there excellent staff I would not have recovered to the level of strength and shoulder movement that I now enjoy."

--Robert Cosway

"I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone at the Elmgrove Agapé Branch. Over these past two months, I have not only met highly trained professionals, but also have met new friends. This includes meeting new friends with the other patients. I started therapy with the a 95% + chance of having to have knee surgery. Today I was reexamined and released from treatment. This was the result of such professional and great treatment I received at the Elmgrove location. I highly recommend to anyone that needs therapy to come here. AGAPÉ means LOVE. You get this from everyone while being treated."

--Paul Martin

"I began physical therapy in January of 2011 because of a neck injury I incurred resulting from a car accident in November of 2010. I was very fortunate to have my first appointment with Carrie Scharett in Webster. She turned my unbearable days into manageable days and taught me little things that helped with the pain in the evenings. In early Summer, I began decreasing my visits and was beginning to enjoy some almost pain free days. While on a weekend trip with my family in July, I fell and broke my kneecap. My new doctor said, "You will need physical therapy after it heals, there are several locations you can choose from...." Hummmm? Where should I go? I would never even consider going anywhere else. And everyone I talk to who needs PT, I tell - go to Carrie, at Agapé. She has given me back my life and I am grateful beyond words. All I can say, although it won't express the true level of my feelings, is - Thank you for your time, your compassion and your energy!"

--Nan Williams

"I have two bad discs in my back. Physical therapy practices of stretching and strengthening my core has made a huge difference in my recovery and resuming my physically demanding job. Agapé PT is a place where they are not only friendly, but very knowledgable and concerned about the issues relating to your injury. They are angels of mercy. Thanks Gwen (and Kelly) for making Agapé a place of physical restoration."

--Bill Roushey

"I want to put a shout out and thank you to the Gates Office up here. It is my belief that all the offices have great service, since I met some therapist from different offices as well, but I primarily worked with Gates Staff. After suffering a back injury at work, I was scared and had never had anything like this happen before. Every time I was in the Agapé office, I was given great direction from some very knowledgeable people. The staff always seems to be happy, and energetic. You can tell they defiantly love the jobs, and making a difference in peoples lives. From the office manager, to the physical therapist, I always felt like everyone was working hard on my behalf. After suffering a disk injury 6 months ago, I have returned to work fully, and have been feeling great. Agapé prepared me well to return to my very demanding job as a Firefighter. Special thanks to Kelli, Stephanie, Gwen, Alicia, Ben and Jacky. You are all great at what you do, and THANK YOU!"

--Matthew Nardone

--Mary Ellen Green

"I wanted to let someone know about the very nice and positive experience I had this summer going to therapy sessions twice a week from 5/11/2011 thru 7/22/2011 at your Elmgrove Road location. I have deformed hips and knees from birth and had major mobility problems at age 57. Your staff showed me several exercises which I continue to do at home and I have greatly improved mobility with Canadian crutches. I enjoyed my sessions and your staff on Elmgrove Rd. including the receptionist was so pleasant. Rest assured you have gotten some great word of mouth advertising from me for Agapé. Please make sure that whoever Gwen, Kelli, Alicia and your receptionist report too sees this and that they hear how highly I think of them and my experience. Thanks again !!"

--Steven Sedlak

"I had experienced some very severe vertigo for about a week and had gone to my primary physician to get medicine. Upon using the prescription for 2 days with no improvement my husband suggested going to AJ at the Brockport Agapé office. AJ evaluated my type of vertigo and put me through some positioning' s and then exercises at home and it helped nearly immediately. I am so appreciative to AJ for his professional help. Now if it should occur again I know exactly what I can do to find relief from another vertigo attack. Thanks AJ!"

--Joanne Scheid

"I went to the Webster office and pretty much worked with Sabrina Stankovski. I had my first surgery in April and didn't know what to expect, she explained everything to me about pt and help me recover quicker than I thought. I would highly recommend there team they were kind and answered all of my questions and more. Thank you."

--Gordon Grann

"I have been working with the staff at the Webster clinic for about the seven months in rehabilitation PT following a leg injury from an auto accident November. The entire staff devised a rehab plan tailored for me, monitors my progress carefully and is very encouraging and competent. I have had both aqua and clinic therapy and would highly recommend Agapé and their staff. I really like the fact that they teach you how to do recommended interventions and explain the purpose of each as well as the expected outcomes. Good job folks."

--Jackie Walker

"I completed a course of PT 3 years ago for a strained rotator cuff and stayed on for the fitness program. When I began having new problems with my neck and arm, it was a 'no brainer' to let my orthopedist know that I would be attending PT at Agapé. The staff in the Brockport clinic are friendly, professional and truly compassionate. Thanks to AJ, I feel as good as new and ready to add new exercises to my regular fitness routine."

--Joy Perrone

"I worked with the whole Chili team, but especially with Rob to strengen my core muscles to reduce the amount of pain medicine I was using. He was gentle & encouraging which really helped me to stay with the program at home & in the Chili center even when my spirits were down. I was experiencing a lot of hypoglycemic episodes so he added a break & a reminder to test which caught lows before they were a problem. Many thanks Rob for the work you do every day with others & with me."

--Mary Korn

"I am very thankful to Rob and the team at the Chili office. I received PT from them after I broke my leg in March, and since then also to help with an associated knee problem. They are kind, prompt, and very knowledgeable about my care, and have made my recovery go so much better. I look forward to my appointments and the workouts that they lead me through!"

--Mary Harris

"I wanted to thank the entire staff of the Webster location for providing me with superior care during my healing process. I tore my ACL and after surgery I started doing physical therapy twice a week. The therapists were incredible and very motivating, my doctor was so impressed with my progress and because of the exceptional care I received the amount of time I needed to go through therapy was shorter than expected. Everyone at the Webster location from the front desk receptionists to the therapists were wonderful. I highly recommend Agapé to everyone.Thank you again for everything."

I highly recommend Carrie, she no only is great at what she does, she's very motivational and make you feel special. Thanks again Carrie, hope I don't need to come back but if I do, your my pick!! Have a great summer."

-- Susan Backus

"I worked with Kelli while in P.T. at the Elmgrove location. When I went to my first visit, she asked me what I would like to be called (Kathleen, Kathy, etc.) That showed a personal interest in me. After about 3 weeks, Kelli told me that she would like me to see my primary doctor and have some tests done. She suggested that I NOT continue with P.T. until I know what I am dealing with. I was very impressed because I'm guessing there are some who would have wanted me to go on regardless. She followed up with me even thought I wasn't coming anymore. Kelli is a wonderful addition to your team. She really cares about her patients."

-- Kathleen (Kathy) Heaton

"I went to the Brockport office today and had a very long talk with Rob concerning my pain and correct action to take. This is only the second time he has worked on me. I must say he was very helpful and I also must say very gentle. Knowing that he is not staying at the Brockport facility, I am glad that I was able to ask questions and am glad that he was able to work on me and ease my mind also. It is always an enjoyable time talking to Rob. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ROB!"

-- Debbi Reeves

-- Mark Giardina

"Thanks so much to Kelli and all the staff at Agapé. I have known Kelli for years so really enjoyed working with her. Each staff member that I worked with was very kind and helpful as I worked to get to the point of managing my back pain."

--Margaret Wells

I want to thank your therapists at the Chili Center Agapé center for working with me for the past several months. It was my second round of therapy, the first over 3 years ago, and the staff was as great as I remembered. I feel great now. Thanks again.

--Karen Chamberlin

I would highly recommend Webster site! The team of Sabrina and Carrie are simply awesome! Not only their knowledge and ability but they truly are great "people persons" who make it a really enjoyable and fun experience. I've gone to the Webster site for two knee replacements and a shoulder issue and have experienced great results. Oh yeah - can not forget Jessica who greets you at the desk and really in charge of Carrie and Sabrina (LOL) does a super job. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would give them a 12!!

--Alan Granger

I have been treated at the Brockport Agapé Physical Therapy building for the past several weeks. I had knee surgery on October 31st and my knee is still swelling and was really weak. I had the privilege of having Sean as my Therapist. I found him to be very professional, knowledgeable, and he pushed me just the right amount and challenged me so that I was working hard, but would not get discouraged. He was extremely encouraging and kept telling me that it will just take time, but that it will get better. I appreciated his time and patience with me. I also had the privilege of working with A.J. a couple of times, and he too, was extremely professional and helped me as well. I commend all of the people at the Brockport Building. The receptionists were so kind, caring and helpful with appointments. and with any questions that I had. I will and have recommended anyone that needs therapy, to go to Agapé! What could have been a "painful" experience, was made so much better by the caring people that you have working in Brockport!
