Our Communities

As owners of Agapé Physical Therapy and Athletic Training and Advantage Sports Performance, Frank and Esther Nowak are extremely grateful for the way our communities have embraced our service. Whether in the schools we serve with athletic training and Advantage Sports Performance, or in our facilities with the physical therapy approach we use, our towns have truly blessed our company with tremendous support and encouragement.

To demonstrate our gratitude, we embarked on a mission to serve the elderly in each of the senior centers of the towns in which we are located by providing free exercise classes. These classes continue to grow and provide an excellent way for our seniors to exercise with professional supervision.

In addition to the senior centers, Agapé provides ergonomic seminars, back care and proper lifting instructions, and fitness and conditioning consultation, all free of charge, to our town employees.

For our schools, free fitness consultations, injury prevention screenings, and Advantage Sports Performance evaluations are provided. In order to educate the many students who are inquisitive about our profession, we are available for Career Days and shadowing opportunities.

Agapé Physical Therapy and Advantage Sports Performance have sponsored and supported many other aspects of our communities including the following: the Brockport Canimals on Parade and Cool Kids Day Block Party, two scholarships at SUNY Brockport for Athletic Training majors, supported various high school sports clubs through advertisements in programs and brochures, participating in numerous benefit golf tournaments and more!

Community Events
Another way Agapé Physical Therapy and Advantage Sports Performance gives back to our communities is by sponsoring specific local events. Here is a sampling of some of the events we are currently sponsoring and have sponsored in the past.

2006 Rochester Marathon:
The Rochester Marathon took place on September 17, 2006 in the city of Rochester. This is a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation of Upstate New York. Agapé Physical Therapy and Advantage Sports Performance were a hosted a water table, provided athletic training and physical therapy services, and held a table at the Expo. Agapé Physical Therapy and Advantage Sports Performance also sponsored several runners including: Don Reto, Jen Beideck, Brian Briggs, and Sara Falk in a four-person relay team.

2006 Rochester Corporate Challenge:
On June 1, 2006, several Agapé employees participated in the Rochester Corporate Challenge 5K. This is the thrid consecutive year that Agapé has participated in this event sponsored by JPMorgan Chase. 2006 SUNY Brockport Fall Classic:
On September 18, 2006, Agapé Physical Therapy gave a contribution and sponsored a golf team at the second annual SUNY Brockport Fall Classic. The tournament took place at the Irondequoit Country Club and went to benefit the Extraordinary Scholarship Program. 2004 U.S. Classic Gymnastics Championships
Agapé Physical Therapy was proud to have been a sponsor of the 2004 U.S. Classic Gymnastics Championships. This was a U.S. Olympics qualifying event featuring the top gymnasts from across the country. Agapé provided equipment and supplies as well as our Athletic Training and Physical Therapy services. Several of our staff members were available on site to assist with any injured athletes.

The U.S. Classic Gymnastics Championships took place May 14, 15, and 16 at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial in Rochester.
