You can train at any one of our facilities in the Rochester area, or we can arrange for training sessions to take place at your school. The Advantage Sports Performance team includes Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists, and Certified Athletic Trainers who know the demands of your sport, how to train for your position, and how to assess your individual needs. Our unique approach integrates speed and agility exercises, power, balance, flexibility, and specific strength training techniques that make you stronger and faster in your sport, while decreasing the risk of injury.

Sports specific training at Advantage Sports Performance
Advantage Sports Performance programs offer exercises that improve sports balance and coordination, build a foundation for speed and power and improve specific types of speed and agility including:

  • Acceleration, change of direction and deceleration.
  • Straight ahead linear running speed.
  • Multi-directional agility: forward, lateral, diagonal, and backward action.
  • Combined ground-based motion with jumping.

Our programs also feature special landing exercises designed to protect the body from overuse pain and injuries common in court and field sports. Most non-contact knee and back injuries occur from a jump and/or twisting while changing direction. Our program integrates dynamic stabilization and landing techniques that help minimize risk of knee and back injuries in your sport.
